Greene County taxpayers are having to pay the legal bills for several supervisors called to testify about nearly $13 million in Hurricane Katrina recovery funds that allegedly were mishandled.
After being subpoenaed by federal authorities, four of the five supervisors voted last month to order the county to pay the expense, Chancery Clerk Latricia Cornelson said Thursday.
