While the first two years of Mayor Frank Melton’s term in office have been, shall we say, problematic, he seems on the right track for the next two, with economic development, crime and education his priorities.
Since he was sworn into office July 4, 2005, Melton has seen too much time posing as a police officer and in courtrooms defending himself from charges as a result of it, and not enough time acting as the city’s top executive as he was elected to do.
