Immigration: With legalization rules imposed?

State Auditor Phil Bryant issued a study last year that found that the state spends $25 million a year on health care, education and prison costs for illegal immigrants.

If federal legislation extends a way for illegal immigrants to become citizens – and pay their own way through taxes due to it – that should help defray the costs.
