Pharmacy Board chief pays $5K fine

The head of the state Board of Pharmacy has paid a maximum $5,000 fine levied by the Ethics Commission for illegally hiring his son and lying about it.

Mac McDivitt, executive director of the Board of Pharmacy, hired his son Lee McDivitt, an employee of the attorney general’s office, with money from a $600,000 federal grant.
