Look at timing of challenge to Melton – CL Letter to the Editor

The timing of Frank Melton’s ballot challenge is very interesting (“Melton’s status on ballot challenged,” April 5). It is apparent Mayor Harvey Johnson sees Mr. Melton as a threat.

If they had brought up the homestead exemption issue four days earlier, Mr. Melton could have gone to the courthouse and filed it before the April 1 deadline.

It will be a shame if this is how the race is determined.
