Lumberton mayoral race to be decided by affidavit ballots The Lumberton mayoral run-off election was held Tuesday. The race will be decided by the affidavit ballots. Kent Crider had 197 votes and Jonathan Griffith had 192 votes, with 12 affidavit ballots remaining to be counted within the next five working days. WDAM 12/29/15

Special needs scholarship requests less than anticipated
