Council approves Jackson payroll
The Clarion-Ledger, 11/29/7 Pay for Jackson’s nearly 2,500 city workers is no longer in limbo. The Jackson City Council approved the payroll Wednesday, two days after members were at an impasse over including raises for Mayor Frank Melton’s Police Department promotions. The promotions are included in the payroll.
