Tigers coach says he will attempt to lure Perrilloux to join Jackson St.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3389426 JACKSON, Miss. -- Count Jackson State in on the Ryan Perrilloux sweepstakes. Coach Rick Comegy said he is attempting to lure the dismissed LSU quarterback to campus for a visit in hopes of signing the troubled player. Perrilloux could play right away if he decides to transfer to a Football Championship Subdivision team. "We want to be in the ballpark like everyone else who's recruiting him and see what the situation is and try to see if he fits our program and those type of things," Comegy said. "We just don't want to have to play against him." ESPN.com 5/10/08 posted 5/12/08

Risky picks impress Saints

http://www.shreveporttimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080512/SPORTS/805120335 METAIRIE — For the past three years, the New Orleans Saints have had a high-risk, high-reward philosophy in the late rounds of the NFL draft. Two years ago, it paid off with the drafting of seventh-rounder Marques Colston, who quickly became the Saints' best receiver. Last year, it wasn't quite as productive as fourth-rounder Antonio Pittman and fifth-rounder David Jones never made it out of training camp. This April, the Saints took a couple of gambles, drafting two players with off-the-field issues which made their draft stock drop. But after two days of rookie minicamp, it looks as though the Saints may have hit the proverbial jackpot. Shreveporttimes.com 5/12/08
