The Mississippi Center for Public Policy created a way to follow some of the larger bills of the session as well as read commentary they provide on individual measures from the House and Senate.
The website, www.mspolicyvotes.org allows you to follow along with the House and Senate calendars and bills in committee.
What is the commentary based on? They ask if it will expand the size, scope, or intrusiveness of government or if it will encourage economic or personal freedom. Each bill reviewed will be rated as either good or bad for liberty with a green or red highlight. If a bill looks good, but the Center has general caution about it, it is given a yellow rating.
They do not plan to focus on smaller bills or those concerning the honoring of individuals in the House or Senate.
They will also have alerts on social media, and through occasional emails.
