Ken Womack, a 43-year-old LSU graduate with a journalism degree, may have been the first to take note of Miles’ penchant for twisting phrases. Now an Atlanta-based website designer, Womach created an online homage to Miles’ dialogue peculiarities, thequotablelesmiles.com. The site contains more than 500 Miles quotes under the heading: “Inspirational words of wisdom from LSU’s head football coach.”

“I’m an LSU fan and I also, a long time ago, used to be a journalist,” Womack said. “I picked up on the way that Les says things. That’s something I had pretty much seen since (Miles’) day one at LSU.
