SEC: LSU should have attempted PAT against Tennessee

The Southeastern Conference on Wednesday said there should have been a PAT attempt even though time ran out after LSU scored. Tennessee, however, got officials off the hook by leaving the field.
“The Tennessee team went into the locker room before the point-after try could be attempted,” an SEC spokesperson told AOL FanHouse. “Thus the officials considered the game over.”
Tennessee could have tied the game and forced overtime if it had returned a blocked kick or a turnover to the end zone.
