Mullen looks back, forward to Houston
“The halfway point of the season is a lot different being 4-2 than 3-3, so this is a huge game for us this weekend,” Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen said. “I like how we’re improving week to week.”
This is a much different Houston team this season than the one that defeated the Bulldogs 31-24 last season in Starkville. That loss at Scott Field still sticks out to State’s players. Tailback Vick Ballard went as far to say Saturday that the Houston loss is what kept MSU from going to a bowl game last year.
