Ole Miss mascot panel to be chosen from about 100 applicants

Applications will be turned in Monday with rankings, and finalists will then be interviewed.

“I don’t really know anything about them in terms of the mix of students who applied,” Reardon said.

Twelve to 15 members will be chosen to form the Student Mascot Committee, which will decide on a replacement mascot for Col. Reb, who was retired by Ole Miss leaders in 2003.
