Saban says of UA’s No. 1 ranking, ‘What does it matter?’
Nick Saban responded today to his team’s rise to No. 1 in the Associated Press poll with a detachment that is now expected from the Crimson Tide’s head coach.
“I mean, what does it matter?” Saban said. “What’s changed? What’s changed from this week, from this Monday to last Monday? What’s changed? We’ve got another game, this is the most important game of the year, and hopefully we’re going to respond to it one of two ways: You either respond sort of avoiding pain or you respond to it to try and gain pleasure in terms of what you want to accomplish.
