Nutt: Must be tougher, more disciplined up front
For the first time since the season started, the Ole Miss football team isn’t nationally ranked in either of the two major polls.
And coach Houston Nutt said if the Rebels are going to climb back into that elite company, his team has to be tougher than it was during Saturday’s 22-3 drubbing at the hands of Alabama – especially along the offensive line.
“We got whipped up front a little bit,” Nutt said.
After a shaky early season, the offensive line had a decent game two weeks ago against Vanderbilt, but against the Crimson Tide the group was exposed once again. The left side – consisting of tackle Bradley Sowell and guard Reid Neely – has been particularly shaky.
