Highest-paid coaches in college football

Highest-paid coaches in college football

It would be pretty sweet to be University of Florida football coach Urban Meyer.
On Monday, Florida gave Meyer, who has won two BCS Championships in the past three years, a raise and a new six-year contract. He now receives $4 million annually, making him the highest-paid coach in the Southeastern Conference.

It made me wonder … who are the highest-paid coaches in 2009? And where do Big 12 coaches rank?
Going into the season, here are the top 4 in the country, organized by what they make per year:
•1. Pete Carroll, USC: $4.4 million
•2. Charlie Weis, Notre Dame: $4.2 million
