Things continue to move upward as FY 2019 continues. Collections, as of the month of August, are up 2.07% above the sine die revenue estimate.
YTD collections through August 31 are at $17,846,319.
The report shows Sales Tax, Individual Income Tax, and the Use Tax are all up in percentages, while the Corporate Income Tax and Insurance Premium tax, which are both down.
Mississippi’s unemployment rate is still at 4.8%, one of the lowest points in the state’s history, and just slightly above the national average at 3.9%.
