Defending ‘Wild Rebel’

Nutt’s direct-snap ways have resurfaced with the Ole Miss offense
Oh, sure, this is fun.
Lining up in the “Wild Rebel” formation and busting up the middle for a 40-yard touchdown in The Swamp against Florida, yeah, that’s fun.
It’s even fun for Ole Miss’ Jevan Snead, who is little more than an unemployed quarterback exiled to receiver in the formation.
“It’s pretty fun,” Snead said. “I haven’t done it before and I’m always excited when we do it.”
The “Wild Rebel” is expected to make an appearance at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday when the Rebels face No. 2 Alabama.
