OK. Back to sports. With a Maroon & White flavor, of course.
Here are some things to note . . .
• What has said to be happening for weeks is now official. The weekly MSU call-in show will now be hosted by Jim Ellis due to Jack Cristil relinquishing his dutues. Of course, he still continue doing the play-by-play that’s brough him considerable fame in the last 56 yeras.
• The MSU football team won’t be helping the economy in Ruston. Usually on road games, MSU flies out on Friday and returns immediately after the game. Well, after their media responsibilities, that is. That won’t be the case for the Lousiana Tech game next week. Instead, Sylvester Croom said his MSU team will fly out Saturday morning and return following the game. No overnight stay. It will be interesting to see how that works.
