Tuberville talks Auburn’s new spread offense

HOOVER, Ala. — Down through the decades, Auburn has been one of those conservative bastions of college football, where the Tigers’ legacy of success was forged with a powerful running game and a strong, sound defense.
So, is legendary coach Shug Jordan spinning in his grave right now?
Heaven forbid, Tailback U has gone to the spread offense.
It may seem like a surreal marriage, but Tommy Tuberville and the Tigers are embracing this new, innovative and wide-open style of football.
“It’s new, it’s different,” Tuberville said at SEC Media Days on Friday. “It’s totally different for me, it’s different for Auburn, even the SEC.
