Mississippi State extends Croom’s contract
Mississippi State football coach Sylvester Croom, believed to be on the hot seat just a year ago, signed a new four-year contract with the school on Friday.
The contract, which calls for a guaranteed salary of $1.7 million in 2008, has been forwarded to the school’s interim president, Dr. Vance Watson, and must be approved by the board of trustees.
“We’ve been very pleased with the leadership coach Croom has provided the football program and are glad to see that the details of his contract are complete,” Watson said in a news release.
