School ratings shift under new model
Mississippi schools and districts received their first letter grade ratings without the ability to use a waiver since 2013 on Thursday, with many scoring much differently than in years past.
The A through F accountability rankings released by the Mississippi Department of Education were calculated using a new model for the first time.
Of Mississippi’s 148 school districts, only 14 received an “A” rating.
