Rep. Gregg Harper ranked 5th in Congress leadership
InsideGov, a government research website that provides detailed information on national and state-level politics and government activities, has named Congressman Gregg Harper (R-Miss.) as the fifth most influential member of Congress for 2015. Rep. Harper was ranked number five out of the top twenty-one senators and representatives.
InsideGov ranked all current members of Congress in terms of their committee leadership positions and subcommittee leadership positions.
Harper, along with Rep. Candice Miller (R-Mich.), ranked first among all representatives when it comes to a committee leadership score. Harper served as chairman of the Joint Committee on the Library and vice chairman of the Joint Committee on Printing and vice chairman of the Subcommittee on Environment and the Economy (Energy and Commerce Committee).
