Mississippi Performance on New Test Released
Jackson, Miss. The Mississippi Department of Education has released the share of students in each school district that met or exceeded grade-level expectations for new tests in algebra I and English II.
Almost half of Mississippi high school students met or exceeded expectations in English last year, while about 27 percent did so in algebra I. That’s according to test results released Thursday.
Those are the first findings from Mississippi’s only administration of a multi-state test meant to measure achievement under new academic standards.
