Senate District 7 incumbent faces political newcomer
State Sen. Hob Bryan, D-Amory, is known for his unwavering support for full funding of public education, but also says he has proven he can work across the aisle with Republican colleagues.
Republican Barry Strevel who is challenging Bryan in the Nov. 3 general election, says Bryan does not adequately represent Senate District 7.
“We have great schools, great people, great communities and tremendous resources,” said Strevel, a small business owner in Amory. “Yet, with all of this, we do not have someone in Jackson who supports our businesses and fights for our community’s needs.
