Lawmakers want to expedite foreign adoptions in Mississippi
A Senate bill would allow Mississippians to expedite adoptions of foreign babies.
Senate Judiciary A Chairman Sen. Briggs Hopson, R-Vicksburg, said a lot of people go overseas to adopt children. Senate Bill 2180 would exempt those seeking to adopt foreign children from a six months waiting period.
“It will make the process a little less extensive,” Hopson said
