Students gather for Palazzo Youth Leadership Summit
More than 400 students from 21 schools gathered for the second annual Palazzo Youth Leadership Summit on Tuesday at the University of Southern Mississippi.
The event was hosted by the office of Congressman Steven Palazzo, a Republican who represents Mississippi’s 4th Congressional District.
“The best way I can think of to invest in Mississippi’s future is to invest in its future leaders,” Palazzo said in a statement. He was in Washington welcoming the final Mississippi Gulf Coast Honor Flight. “That is my goal with this annual event. Our state and our nation are only as strong as the leadership in our local communities, and my hope is that these students come away empowered to serve their communities today and in the future.”
