Hattiesburg Tea Party holds rally

The Hattiesburg Tea Party will hold a rally Tuesday evening to express thoughts on current issues facing our country.

Tea Party founder Jennifer West says this rally is being held during the August Congressional recess so that Congressman Steven Palazzo will hear his constituents’ concerns, but the congressman’s office says he has no town hall meetings scheduled at this time.

“There are a number of important issues facing our country, and we feel like it’s time that our Congress took some steps to thwart the actions of the federal government,” says West.

The rally will focus on defunding Obamacare, rising unemployment, the economy, border security, government spending and other issues.
