NUNNELEE: MISSISSIPPIANS WANT RESULTS
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Following President Obama’s speech today on jobs and the economy, Congressman Alan Nunnelee (R-Miss.) released a response:
“I welcome the President back to the conversation on jobs; the House Republicans never left it. If the President wants to join our effort to get the economy moving again, he can start by immediately approving the Keystone XL Pipeline. Moving forward, he should support ongoing bipartisan efforts to enact pro-growth tax, spending, and entitlement reform. Speeches are nice, but Mississippians are more concerned with results. With wages below pre-recession levels and workers’ hours being cut due to Obamacare, the President needs to campaign less and focus more on solutions to the plight of so many families.”
Congressman Alan Nunnelee represents Mississippi’s First Congressional District. He serves on the House Appropriations Committee and the House Budget Committee. This is his second term.
