Southaven Mayor Greg Davis filing for re-election as independent
Southaven Mayor Greg Davis is in the process of filing to run for re-election as an independent .
Davis and his supporters fulfilled the requirement of having 50 signatures of registered voters that were needed in order to file.
In January, he announced he would not seek re-election for a fifth term, but says he does not like the direction the current board of Aldermen has taken.
The six candidates who have already filed for mayor are all Republicans. Davis would face the winner of that race in June.
