Although he will be retiring officially from the Mississippi House this summer, Rep. George Flaggs has started off his plans for life after the legislature with a bang.
This past Monday, Flaggs gathered a diverse crowd of over 125 people in Vicksburg for his kickoff fundraiser, which netted over $30,000. For a mayor’s race in Vicksburg, that’s a pretty good night. Two more fundraisers are scheduled for Jackson and Vicksburg in the coming weeks.
