Eight candidates running for US Senate seat
Mississippi’s 2012 U.S. Senate race won’t be decided until the Nov. 6 general election thanks to a full field of candidates.
Three Republicans – including incumbent Sen. Roger Wicker – will face off in the March 13 primary. The Democratic side of the ticket also features three candidates.
Party runoffs will be April 3, if necessary.
The winners of the Republican and Democratic nominations will face candidates from the Constitution and Reform parties for the seat once held by Trent Lott.
