NUNNELEE STATEMENT ON REDISTRICTING

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Alan Nunnelee released the following statement in response to the congressional map filed yesterday by the three judge federal panel:

“I am disappointed that Panola, Yalobusha, and Grenada will no longer be a part of the 1st District. I have made many friends in those counties, and will continue to work with job creators for growth there. I am excited to reach out and meet my new constituents in Winston and Oktibbeha. They have been ably represented by Congressman Harper, and my pledge is to follow his example. It is a privilege to represent my fellow Mississippians in Congress, and I look forward to continuing to be their advocate for smaller government, lower taxes, spending cuts, and traditional family values.”

Congressman Alan Nunnelee represents Mississippi’s First Congressional District and serves on the House Appropriations Committee. This is his first term.
