Gautier city attorney says state auditor investigating work on private property
GAUTIER, Mississippi — City Attorney Robert Ramsay confirmed to the mayor and City Council that special agents with the office of State Auditor Stacey Pickering are investigating work that was done on private property in June.
“Yes, there is an investigation being done by the state auditor,” Ramsay said in response to a question from Councilman Scott Macfarland during Tuesday’s council meeting in City Hall.
Ramsay said investigators plan “to talk to some of the employees that did work out there.”
He said those interviews are scheduled for this afternoon.
