Tate Reeves – Mississippi State Treasurer
It is clear from Reeves’ electoral success that his stock is rising. He has served two terms as State Treasurer, as President of the National Association of State Treasurers from 2006 to 2007, and is destined to become the Lieutenant Governor in this year’s general election. It should not surprise anyone if Reeves is not the Lieutenant Governor for very long. If, as expected, Thad Cochran retires from the US Senate in 2014 and Haley Barbour decides not to run for the seat, then Reeves will have an opportunity to easily step into the position. Get your wallets ready!
