JJ – Bennie Thompson fights for NE Jackson
Although unreported by the media, a furious battle is being waged between Congressmen Harper and Thompson over congressional redistricting. It seems Bennie wants Northeast Jackson. Bennie was offered Wilkinson County and surrounding areas but no, that did not fit into his schemes as he rebuffed the offer and wants at least eight precincts from Northeast Jackson added to his turf. JJ confirmed this political fight was taking place with at least half a dozen sources.
