Nunnelee Receives Appropriations Subcommittee Assignments
Congressman named to Agriculture, Energy and Water, and Military Construction and Veterans Affairs
(Washington, D.C.) – Congressman Alan Nunnelee issued the following statement today after House Appropriations Chairman Hal Rogers announced the Appropriations Subcommittee members for the 112th Congress. Congressman Alan Nunnelee was selected to serve on the Agriculture, Energy and Water, and Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Subcommittees.
“I appreciate Chairman Rogers’ confidence in my abilities. Each of these subcommittees offers the opportunity to fight for North Mississippi while reigning in the out of control spending. This process will not be easy but I believe we have a responsibility to undo the damage caused by years of budget deficits that have led to our nearly $14 trillion national debt. Our families and small businesses have struggled enough; we must put Americans back to work with fiscally sound policy that will encourage small businesses to begin hiring again. The Appropriations Committee will deliver on the promises made to America and I am proud to help lead our country in a new fiscally sound direction,” said Nunnelee.
