MEMA opens call center to answer oil spill questions
The number is 866-920-MEMA (6362).
The call center will be opened today from noon to 6 p.m.
Starting tomorrow, the call center lines will be activated every day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. until further notice.
BP has established a claim system and an 800 number for people to call. This system will allow people to begin the process to recover lost income or recoup damage-related expenses.
