Decision could come Thursday on health care lawsuit
JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) – We could hear very soon if Attorney General Jim Hood sees any merit in filing a lawsuit on behalf of the state over the new health care reform law.
Attorneys in his office have been reviewing it.
Governor Haley Barbour wants an answer from Hood by 12 pm Thursday.
Barbour has said if the attorney general didn’t file a lawsuit, he intends to file the lawsuit himself.
The governor believes the new law is unconstitutional, and there are other states already suing.
