Crisler touts his experience, plans for office of mayor
Marshand Crisler says he will scour the city’s budget, push for more grant money, pave streets, ask the state to contribute more to the city and work to improve parks.
Those are some of his promises – if he’s elected mayor of Jackson.
Crisler, 40, hopes to become the first council member elected mayor. He says his work representing Ward 6 since 2001 helps set him apart from the 14 other candidates.
“I have the experience,” he said at a recent interview at his headquarters on North State Street. “I think it’s important that the next mayor of Jackson can hit the ground running.”
