Mississippi Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann said the Legislature has passed several measures he thinks will improve the state’s attractiveness to businesses and help protect those who buy burial policies, among others.
In a meeting with the Sun Herald Monday, Hosemann said there were several measures passed this year that he advocated, including allowing local governments to create entertainment districts, easier corporation filings, stronger trademark laws, and others.
“I think all of those are real important to building this whole base to where we have got the best business system,” Hosemann said. “…This is one more arrow in the quiver that makes you better than somewhere else.”
