This is almost past the point where I care anymore, but this Guilty but Innocent schtick of Zach Scruggs is starting to wear thin. This is like hearing one too many knock-knock jokes from that neighbor kid — I’m sorry, but I can’t pretend it’s cute anymore, it’s just starting to get really annoying. Here’s a story from Anita Lee of the Sun Herald about the most recent thing, where he says in a document filed with the Mississippi Supreme Court that, like his father, he won’t fight the Bar’s efforts to suspend him indefinitely. Attorney Zach Scruggs apologized to the state Supreme Court and to his fellow attorneys and Mississippians for his role in a judicial bribery case, saying an earlier objection to disbarment was meant to give him time to straighten out his clients’ affairs.
