In 2007, a Hattiesburg resident, Shawn O’Hara, qualified to run for governor of Mississippi, lieutenant governor, attorney general, state treasurer, secretary of state, state auditor, insurance commissioner and six other positions.

O’Hara, 50, Thursday outlined his four priorities – lowering gas prices, stopping financial aid to foreign countries, equal pay for women and ending the influx of felony prisoners to Mississippi.
