Mississippi Lieutenant Governor Phil Bryant was honored today to be named the new 2008 Honorary Chairman of the Republican Lieutenant Governors Association.
The Alexandria, Va.-based organization promotes the election of Republican Lieutenant Governors nationwide. Of the 43 states that have the office of lieutenant governor, Republicans hold 20 seats. Bryant will lead the organization with help of the association’s staff and executive committee.
