BRYANT – Franks breaking promises – again

By: Magnolia Tribune - October 9, 2007

After promising “we will not go negative”, just fifteen days ago, the Jamie Franks campaign continues to air negative, misleading attack ads against Phil Bryant.

In a September 23, 2007 article in the Clarion-Ledger, Franks’ campaign spokesman, James Hull stated: “We will not go negative,” Hull said. “We’re going to keep a positive campaign.” This direct quote and the entire article can be viewed online at:

“It’s a clear signal that the Franks’ campaign is desperate when they say they won’t go negative and then turn around and break their own campaign promise,” said Mick Bullock, spokesman for Phil Bryant’s campaign for Lt. Governor. “The taxpayers want to hear the candidates for Lt. Governor speak to the important issues such as education, health care and public safety. That’s what the public and media should ask from the Frank’s campaign.”

Phil Bryant’s campaign for Lt. Governor is focused on addressing the key issues affecting Mississippi. In June, Phil Bryant announced an “Accountability Agenda” focused on conservative values and achievable goals. The entire “Accountability Agenda” can be viewed at www.PhilBryant.com.
