Some Democratic clerks who helped staff Republican polls for the Aug. 7 primary may get a bigger check for doing a manager’s job, but a Democratic official says recruiting interrupted his elections and left his staff confused.
When dozens of precincts were left without Republican workers, Hinds County Republican Executive Committee Chairman Pete Perry said he asked some Democratic workers to do some double duty for extra pay.
