A national magazine says Mississippi is on the rise when it comes to economic development. Thanks to a comprehensive tort reform plan, employers no longer have to worry about mass lawsuits or “jackpot justice” destroying their businesses. And that means more companies are looking at the Magnolia State.
With his signature three years ago, Governor Haley Barbour signed into law a tort reform long overdue in Mississippi. Initially, it brought in more insurance carriers for auto, home, and health coverage.
