Mayor Johnson to Return to Teaching
So what does the future hold for Jackson Mayor Harvey Johnson Jr?
He plans to return to his love of teaching next month as a professor for Jackson State University. Beginning July first, Johnson will serve as a distinguished research fellow with the Mississippi Urban Research Center. He will also serve as a visiting professor teaching a seminar in urban economics. Johnson taught some graduate courses courses at Jackson State back in the 1980’s. His official announcement will be Tuesday morning.
