Jackson man found dead today of stab wounds
Jackson police are searching for a suspect in the stabbing death of a 38-year-old man.
Police found Derrick Wright stabbed to death at 3895 Northview Drive at about 1 a.m. today, said Jackson police Commander Lee Vance.
Vance said Wright may have been dead for several days. He said he was unsure just how police came to be called to the scene.
Wright’s death is the city’s 11th homicide this year. Last year, there were 52 homicides.
