U.S. Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith talks 2020 election with Y’all Politics

By: Frank Corder - September 17, 2020

Mississippi U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith joined Y’all Politics to talk about her upcoming election in November 2020, national issues, and the re-election of President Donald J. Trump.

Hyde-Smith is running for re-election after winning the 2018 special election.  She faces Democrat Mike Espy and Libertarian Jimmy Edwards on the November ballot.

Campaigning in 2020 is challenging given the pandemic.  Hyde-Smith says she is doing many tele-town hall meetings and is still meeting in small groups practicing CDC guidelines.

The Senator called the 2020 election “the most critical in our lifetime.”

Hyde-Smith is in full support of President Donald Trump’s re-election, saying Trump is the man who has the “courage, the stamina, and the ability to stand up to these liberal ideas.”
